We offer a variety of cosmetic dental procedures.

          • Crowns

A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its   original shape and size. A crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.

Although there are several types of crowns, porcelain crowns are the most popular. Porcelain crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color of the other teeth giving a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile. They are highly durable and will last many years, but like most dental restorations, they may eventually need to be replaced.

There are many reasons a crown may be the treatment of choice. Broken or fractured teeth, cosmetic enhancement, decayed teeth, fractured fillings, or previous root canal treatment are some of the ways that tooth structure can be comprimised necessitating a crown.

          • Tooth Whitening

Peroxide-containing whiteners bleach the tooth enamel, but are ineffective at bleaching resorations (fillings) or crowns. We recommend two different types of whitening systems, depending on the patient’s need, both done at home. The first is a highly concentrated gel that is placed in a customized tray that we make for you. Usage regimens vary, but usually once a day for an hour until the desired shade is achieved. The second is a bleach strip that is placed over the front of the teeth and also  worn for an hour. These strips also have a higher concentration of bleach than can be found in drugstores. There are potential side effects to any bleaching treatment, such as increased sensitivity or gum irritation, and the patient must be monitored closely. Speak with your dentist if you have any concerns.
